The report found half of physicians have searched Wikipedia for medical information. Like patients, the majority of these physicians used the site to research less common diseases. An analysis of the 1.9 million views Wikipedia’s top 100 healthcare articles received in the past year reveals the most commonly researched topics include:
- Crohn’s disease
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Pneumonia
- Tuberculosis
