The joint venture, according to an Oct. 22 news release, will operate under the name Providence at Home with Compassus. In Lubbock, Texas, Covenant Health’s hospice program, part of the Providence network, will be renamed Covenant Health at Home with Compassus.
As part of the agreement, Compassus will oversee operations for the joint venture, which will cover 24 home health locations across Alaska, California, Oregon, and Washington, along with 17 hospice and palliative care sites in Alaska, California, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. Additionally, the joint venture will manage private duty services in Southern California.
The joint venture is still pending regulatory approval, according to the news release.
Compassus has established similar joint ventures with organizations such as St. Louis-based Ascension, Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health, and Columbus-based OhioHealth.
