Physician EHR Adoption Up 10%

Physician electronic health record adoption is up 10 percent since last year, according to a recent report from SK&A.

In January 2013, 50.3 percent of office-based physicians used an EHR system. In January 2014, 61 percent did, according to the report.

EHR adoption is highest among larger physician practices — 77.5 percent of practices with more than 25 physicians had an EHR as of January 2014, up from 75.9 percent in January 2013.
