Patients aren't that interested in wearables

Wearables are getting a lot of hype these days. But are they worth it? A recent survey says maybe not.

Taking advantage of Practice Fusion's offer to ask a question to physicians on their software, Forbes contributor Zina Moukheiber asked providers if patients had asked them about incorporated health apps or wearable data into their medical records.

Only 15 percent of physicians said yes.

The results are part of a larger uncertainty of the short-term use of health app or wearable data, the usefulness of which remains yet undefined when it comes to clinical care.
