PatientPing startup raises $9.6M in Google Ventures-led funding round

Boston-based startup PatientPing has earned $9.6 in a Series A round led by Google Ventures and FPrime Capital. The company develops networks that enable providers to more easily share patient information via real-time “pings”, which notify them when a patient receives care at an in-network facility.

The company plans to use the funding to widen its presence nationally and increase its staffing. So far, the company’s network includes facilities in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts and it plans to announce additional partnerships in the coming weeks, according to a statement.

First Round Capital and SV Angel were additional investors in this funding round.
