Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health has restored access to its MyChart patient portal and Find a Doctor search tool following a systemwide internet outage, though some services remain unavailable.
According to an update on the health system’s website, patients can once again receive appointment reminders, send messages, request prescription refills and schedule appointments through MyChart.
However, billing functions and video visits remain unavailable.
The restoration comes after Parkview took its network offline in response to suspicious activity. In an Oct. 19 update, the health system said the outage had disrupted MyChart access, prevented appointment reminders and contributed to high call volumes.
Parkview first notified patients of the outage Oct. 18.
The health system has not publicly disclosed the nature of the suspicious activity or confirmed whether it was related to a cyberattack.
Parkview said its teams are working to restore the remaining services as quickly as possible. It has not provided a timeline for full restoration.
