Ms. Eckert takes over from previous CIO Mike Shadler, who plans to retire at the end of the year. Prior to her new role, Ms. Eckert served as CIO at the insurance company USAA.
Ms. Eckert will begin at Pacific Life in December and report directly to CEO Darryl Button.
