Their presentation, “Using Cutting Edge Technology to Improve Quality in Newborn Screening: A Public Health Initiative,” will explore the results of the MNScreen project.

The project, implemented in 2014, gathers and transmits all of a newborn’s health information into one record. MNScreen relies on OZ Systems’ eSP and OZ STAR systems, as well as its Telepathy CCHD software.

Sixty-nine of Minnesota’s 90 hospitals are using MNScreen. The remaining 21 hospitals plan to implement the system by the end of October 2016.
