The incubator, called the Digital Health Annex, is an expansion of the Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute’s Bioscience Incubator. The Digital Health Annex, slated to open next month, will provide space for up to eight health IT companies. The space will include two private offices, a co-working space, entrepreneurial training and networking events.
The Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute’s Bioscience Incubator opened in 2013 with a $2 million investment from the state. At present, the bioscience incubator houses 17 companies, which have raised $26 million in federal, private and venture capital funding.
