Only 3 EMR Vendors Expanded Their Market Share in 2013

Just a few electronic medical record vendors — Cerner, Epic and MEDITECH — grew their market share in 2013, according to a KLAS news release.

The report found Epic and Cerner experienced the largest gains in both the large- and small-facility portions, according to the news release.

The report examined large and small hospitals nationwide regarding their EMR solutions, and researchers suggest EMR vendors catering to small facilities are having difficulties competing with vendors catering to larger facilities.
