Through the collaboration, the ONC added myhealthfinder — one of the ODPHP’s consumer tools, which offers personalized recommendations for preventive services based on a user’s age and sex — to its PE playbook. The PE playbook focuses on tools healthcare professionals can integrate into EHR patient portals to improve patient engagement and care delivery.
Ms. Moriarty and Ms. Harris said giving patients access to credible and reliable resources through the patient portal fosters stronger patient-provider trust and saves time during wellness visits. Integrating myhealthfinder, in particular, also ensures healthcare professionals provide patients with up-to-date educational content.
“The more tools we have to help engage patients in their healthcare, the more we empower them to improve their health and well-being,” the blog post reads.
