Under the challenge, developers will create applications using popHealth’s open-source framework, existing functionality, standards and sample datasets to help providers improve patient safety, engagement with patients and disparities in care. Currently, popHealth can automate the calculation and reporting of the ambulatory care clinical quality measures in stage one of meaningful use and aggregate data from multiple sites, according to the report.
