ONC Approves North Dakota’s HIE Plan

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has approved the operational plan for a health information exchange for North Dakota, according to a news release.

The operational plan describes the strategies and activities necessary to advance adoption of electronic health records through the creation of a statewide HIE. State officials are currently working with partners on a plan to make the HIE self-sustainable by 2015.
