Here are three things to know about the designation.
1. The designation recognizes NCQA’s eMeasure testing lab process as equivalent to the ONC-approved Project Cypress tool and officially allows NCQA to perform select assessments under the ONC Health IT Certification program.
2. As an ONC-Authorized Testing Lab, NCQA is able to certify health IT and data vendors under the ONC Health IT Certification for use in reporting electronic clinical quality measures to CMS for the Quality Payment Program.
3. NCQA’s eMeasure testing laboratory offers the only ONC-approved alternative to the ONC’s electronic quality measure testing procedure.
