Ocean Protocol releases blockchain beta network

Blockchain developer Ocean Protocol has released its beta network for other companies to build data services and marketplaces through the existing decentralized ledger.

The blockchain aims to provide safe, privacy-preserving and borderless data sharing. The beta network is designed to pave the way for private and public partnerships from the researcher, insurance, retail and healthcare sectors.

Currently, Ocean Protocol is collaborating with AI Singapore, Aviva Unilever, Johnson & Johnson and Roche, who are using the blockchain to set standards and demonstrate how to share data without compromising privacy or ownership.

Ocean Protocol leverages blockchain, smart contracts and tokens to ensure safe and secure data sharing. Users can set individual pricing and trade data through the blockchain without losing control of data assets.
