Number of providers successfully attesting to MU drops in 2015

The number of healthcare providers successfully attesting to meaningful use dipped from 228,662 in 2014 to 226,514 in 2015. Additionally, the number of hospitals successfully attesting to MU dropped from 4,177 in 2014 to 4,071 in 2015, according to a Bloomberg BNA report.

The majority of providers and hospitals attesting last year were in the second stage of the program. Of the 226,514 providers attesting in 2015, 167,731 were set to be Stage 2. Of the 4,071 hospitals, 3,601 were set to be in Stage 2, according to the report.
