New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Peerbridge Health, which provides remote patient monitoring solutions.
"Our collaboration with Peerbridge Health is part of our overarching strategy to introduce
disruptive technologies that will help shape the future of health care delivery," Michael Dowling, president and CEO of Northwell Health, said in a statement.
Prior to signing the partnership agreement, Peerbridge Health and Northwell Health conducted a clinical trial to measure the efficacy of the company's flagship product, the Peerbridge Cor, which is a compact, lightweight, multichannel electrocardiogram monitor. After comparing the Peerbridge Cor to other cardiovascular monitors, experimenters determined the Peerbridge tool was superior.
"Not only did the Peerbridge Cor deliver excellent, multi-channel, analyzable data, but it delivered less motion artifact and fewer false positives, despite our patient's active New York lifestyle," said Nicholas Skipitaris, MD, chief of electrophysiology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
