North York General Hospital receives HIMSS Enterprise Davies Award

North York (Ontario, Canada) General Hospital has been named a 2016 HIMSS Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence recipient, according to the Ottawa Citizen.

The Enterprise Davies Award honors organizations that have utilized health IT to improve patient outcomes.

A community academic hospital, NYGH has three facilities. The hospital will be honored for its achievement at the upcoming HIMSS conference in Orlando, Fla.

“At NYGH, our goal is to design, implement and improve health IT solutions that achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients, families and staff,” said NYGH CMIO Jeremy Theal, MD. “We are proud to be recognized as a world leader in these efforts, and will continue to share our lessons learned so other healthcare organizations can achieve similar benefits.”
