NewYork-Presbyterian selects athenahealth solution suite for physician services organization

More than 800 physicians and 300 licensed professionals with NewYork-Presbyterian's Physician Services Organization will soon be adopting athenahealth's services for their physician practices.

NYPPSO will provide the NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups with athenahealth's EHR, practice management and patient engagement services. Additionally, NYP will offer the athenahealth platform to independent physicians who want to align with the health system.

Deployment will begin at NYP medical groups in Hudson Valley, Queens and Westchester, with implementations in Brooklyn and other areas to follow.

"As NewYork-Presbyterian expands its reach throughout the city and region, it requires greater connectivity and collaboration," said Michael Nochomovitz, MD, senior vice president and chief clinical integration and network development officer of NewYork-Presbyterian. "We anticipate significant innovation with athenahealth to help us deliver clinically integrated, coordinated care in a new health care environment."
