New Relic names Yvonne Wassenaar 1st CIO

Analytics software developer New Relic has named Yvonne Wassenaar its first CIO, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Ms. Wassenaar was previously the company’s senior vice president of operations. As CIO, she will be responsible for scaling the company’s internal technology to drive business strategy and growth, according to the report.

She will hire a vice president of business intelligence and data for support. The person in this role will be charged with establishing a formal data architecture.

New Relic is well-known for its involvement in HealthCare.gov. In 2013, New Relic’s software was engaged to help track the health insurance website’s bugs.
