Nest co-founder and CEO to depart

Tony Fadell, co-founder and CEO of Nest — a company that makes digital thermostats — is leaving the company.

Mr. Fadell and Matt Rogers founded the company together in 2010. In 2014, Google acquired Nest for $3.2 billion, according to The New York Times

Since its founding, Nest has expanded to sell additional products, including smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms and cameras.

Mr. Fadell will become an adviser to Alphabet and Larry Page, its CEO, according to the Times. He will be succeeded by Marwan Fawaz.
