6. AliveCor, a startup company focused on building smartphone apps and devices that monitor users’ heart rhythm, selected Priya Abani to serve as CEO.
7. The American Telemedicine Association elected Joseph C. Kvedar, MD, as president-elect.
8. Lafayette (La.) General Health has tapped Fallon Strother McManus, MD, to serve as chief medical information officer, effective Aug. 5.
