Gov. Romney is scheduled to speak March 2 at noon at a session called “Lunchtime Lecture: Taking Your Innovation Pulse: How Health Systems Can Measure Their Innovation Capability.”
Former Utah Gov. Michael Leavitt will join Gov. Romney as a speaker for this session. Gov. Leavitt previously served on the Cabinet of President George W. Bush as administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and as secretary of HHS.
The HX360 Executive Program is an invite-only forum that will address how emerging technologies and changes to the health system business model will transform care delivery.
The HIMSS conferences historically have featured politicians as speakers. Last year, President George W. Bush delivered the closing keynote. In 2014, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered a keynote, and her husband President Bill Clinton was a keynote speaker in 2013.
