Microsoft revenue jumps 12% to $33.7B for Q4 FY19: 5 notes

Microsoft’s net income spiked 49 percent year over year in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2019 to $13.2 billion, according to the company’s financial statement released July 18.

Here are five things to know: 

1. For the quarter, Microsoft’s revenue topped $33.7 billion, representing a 12 percent increase year over year. 

2. Microsoft’s operating income totaled $12.4 billion for the quarter, jumping 20 percent year over year. 

3. Revenue in its intelligent cloud segment saw the greatest increase of 19 percent, generating $11.4 billion. 

4. For the full fiscal year, Microsoft reported $125.8 billion in revenue, a 14 percent increase year over year. 

5. Microsoft’s full year net income was $39.2 billion, a 137 percent increase year over year.
