Michael Mistretta. Vice President and CIO of Virginia Hospital Center (Arlington). Mr. Mistretta has been the vice president and CIO of Virginia Hospital Center since 2015, where he oversees strategy and leadership for the system’s IT. Throughout his 30-plus year career in the healthcare industry, Mr. Mistretta has gained experience in software development, consulting, data center management services, and consulting for both the payer and provider sides of healthcare. He has also worked with major vendors for EHR implementation and has created solutions to increase productivity, improve quality and reduce expenses. Since he arrived at Virginia Hospital Center, Mr. Mistretta has guided the system to become a National Showcase account for healthcare technology and a model organization in automated capture clinical quality measures.
