Mercy Hospital St. Louis will be the first to deploy the system, which will then be launched at other Mercy hospitals and outpatient settings across four states in 2018.
VitalConnect piloted the new platform in collaboration with Mercy Virtual Care Center, the first freestanding facility focused on telehealth. The Vista Solution platform integrates the company’s existing VitalPatch wearable biosensor to give caregivers a continuous feed of patient data, whether the patient is in the hospital or at home.
“We will be able to track the health of our patients in real-time without them having to be tethered to a hospital bed. This gives patients more autonomy,” said Mark Saxon, Mercy Virtual’s vice president of clinical operations.
