Mr. Belmont will oversee the IT department at Memorial Hospital, a 328-bed nonprofit health system which includes three outpatient ASCs and more than 95 physician clinics.
Mr. Belmont has more than 35 years of experience in business development and consulting in the health IT field. He was vice president of operations and strategy for HCI Group/Tech Mahindra.
He also has experience in healthcare, having served as vice president and CIO of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and vice president and CIO of Ochsner Health System in New Orleans.
