McKesson moves to Google Cloud

Pharmaceutical giant McKesson Corp. will implement Google Cloud Platform to support its infrastructure, applications and analytics systems.

Prior to partnering with Google Cloud Platform, McKesson used a predominately on-premises operating model to manage its information services.

"We're at the start of an unprecedented era in healthcare technology, services, and ideas. That’s why I'm excited about [Google Cloud Platform], not only for the infrastructure it provides but for what it allows McKesson to deliver for its customers — customer value that is secure, scalable and at speeds we haven't seen before." McKesson Technology Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Andy Zitney said in a news release.
