McKesson breaks ground on new regional headquarters in Ariz.

As part of its decision to relocate its Arizona regional headquarters, health IT company McKesson broke ground on a new 271,000-square-foot facility last week, according to AZCentral.com.

Currently, McKesson’s Arizona regional headquarters are in Scottsdale. The new office building, which is expected to house nearly 60 percent more employees, is located on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. It can hold approximately 2,200 employees.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to being a great place to work, we’re excited to offer our Scottsdale team a new, modern, state-of-the art work space,” said McKesson Specialty Health President Nick Loporcaro, according to a press release.

McKesson plans to move its 1,400 Scottsdale employees to the new office in 2017.
