Lexington Clinic in Kentucky Notifies 1,000 Patients of Data Breach

Lexington (Ky.) Clinic has notified over 1,000 patients of a data privacy breach, according to a Lexington Clinic news release.

A laptop was stolen from the clinic’s neurology department during the night of Dec. 7, 2011. The laptop contained patient names, contact information and diagnoses but did not contain Social Security, credit card or bank account numbers.
