The break-in occurred over the weekend. In addition to some stolen and damaged technology, the report indicates the burglars also took bus tokens for low-income residents.
No patient files or protected health information were compromised, and no medications were taken, according to the report.
“I am extremely disappointed by these events. These actions hurt the very people we serve every day at the Baltimore City Health Department,” Leana Wen, MD, Baltimore City Health Commissioner, said in a statement provided to WMAR.
