Lakeland Health joins forces with Philips to enhance patient monitoring

St. Joseph, Mich.-based Lakeland Health entered into an agreement with Royal Philips to utilize the Philips IntelliVue Guardian Solution with automated early warning scoring at all three of its hospitals.

The IntelliVue solution includes software and intelligent clinical decision algorithms that help clinicians accurately gather patient vital signs. The solution also allows them to integrate validated patient data directly to the HER.

“The IntelliVue Guardian Solution has changed the way we work by eliminating potential transcription errors and also providing caregivers immediate access to patients’ vital signs reducing delays in treatment time,” said Arthur Bairagee, chief nursing informatics officer at Lakeland Health.

The latest version of the IntelliVue Guardian solution has been available in the United States since earlier this year.
