The tool aims to educate patients before and after treatment, helping to engage them in their care. Kettering launched the tool for infusion chemotherapy patients. The tool offers animated videos, emails and text messages to patients at different stages of treatment to provide appropriate education. The HIPAA-compliant tool integrates with Kettering’s Epic EMR to allow for seamless exchange of patient data.
Kettering will now expand use of the My Care Compass tool to patients undergoing immunotherapy and other cancer-related treatments.
“Our program allows the Kettering Health Network to improve provider-patient relationships and elevate personal, comprehensive care with their cancer care team,” said Tommy Zambelli, vice president of marketing and customer success at Arches Technology.
