Kentucky, Pennsylvania health systems join Nuance imaging network

Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health and Philadelphia-based Einstein Healthcare have joined the Nuance Precision Imaging Network, a network that provides healthcare organizations with artificial intelligence-powered diagnostic imaging at the point of care.

The Nuance Precision Imaging Network was launched in November 2021 and now connects more than 12,000 healthcare facilities across the United States. The network is powered by Microsoft Azure, according to a Nov. 28 Nuance news release.

"The Nuance Precision Imaging Network accelerates our ability to extend AI-generated diagnostic imaging insights and clinical collaboration from the point-of-read in radiology right through to the point-of-care," Baptist Chief Medical Information Officer Brett Oliver, MD, said. "Instead of needing to build and maintain the infrastructure needed to integrate advanced diagnostic tools into clinical workflows, we can take advantage of the Nuance solution to focus on delivering quality care, lowering costs, and improving patient access and outcomes for the communities we serve."
