Mr. Kalanick, who also co-founded Uber, resigned from the company in June 2017. He still serves on Uber’s board and helped pick his replacement last year.
Mr. Kalanick is friends with Kareo’s founder Dan Rodrigues. The health technology company was established in 2004 and today assists 40,000 providers. It raised $125 million in venture capital funding to date.
