Johns Hopkins nephrology director joins kidney disease startup

Renalytix AI, a company that develops artificial intelligence-enabled clinical diagnostics for kidney diseases, named Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Chirag Parikh, MD, to its board.

Three notes:

1. Dr. Parikh is director of nephrology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

2. His research focuses on the translation and validation of biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of acute kidney injury.

3. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. Parikh served as professor of medicine and investigative medicine at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. He also directed Yale’s applied translational research program.
