Nathan Riggle, director of analytics at Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy ACO, discussed the organization's partnership with Berkeley, Calif.-based health IT company Innovaccer Sept. 23 at the Becker's Hospital Review 3rd Annual Health IT + Revenue Cycle Conference in Chicago.

Here are three things to know about his presentation.

2. Mercy ACO partnered with Innovaccer to coordinate its care approach, for example, the organization leverages Innovaccer's Care Intelligence System for data-driven initiatives.

David K. Nace, MD, an executive advisor on Innovaccer's advisory board, also spoke on a Sept. 23 conference panel titled, "How Will Software Engineering Impact the Future of Health IT?"

"The interest in changing the landscape of healthcare keeps growing," said Abhinav Shashank, CEO of Innovaccer. "This conference was highly educational and served as a looking glass at how data, intelligent systems and analytics have become central in healthcare."
