Why Mayo is collaborating with a clinical AI company

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic has partnered with clinical AI company Exer AI to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic hand and wrist disorders.

As part of the collaboration, Mayo will integrate Exer’s advanced computer-vision and AI platform to support management of a wide range of these conditions, according to a Sept. 6 news release.

The technology is designed to assist Mayo clinicians in diagnosing and treating dozens of disorders, with the goal of streamlining care and improving patient outcomes.
