VCU Health posted a now closed job listing on LinkedIn about seeking a chief data and AI officer who will spearhead the strategic planning, development, implementation and advancement of data, analytics, artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
The new role will report directly to the health system’s CIO and also establish and chair a data and AI governance structure.
This new role comes at a time when hospitals and health systems have been creating new C-suite positions dedicated to AI.
