U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center developed the program to bring together cancer researchers from across the university’s campus. The program will initially include up to 40 investigators from the university’s medical school, college of engineering, school of dentistry and college of pharmacy, among other areas.
The program will be located on the university’s North Campus Research Complex and will work closely with industry for drug development and early phase testing of potential new cancer treatments, according to the report.
The program will also partner with the university’s Ross School of Business and the medical school’s business development team to increase interactions with industry and create more biomedical companies focused on moving scientific discoveries to clinical practice, according to the report.
