Investment in health and biotech companies cooled to $90B in 2022

Global medtech and biotech investment fell from $133.8 billion in 2021 to $89.7 billion in 2022, according to investment data from dealroom.co.

The 2021 bull market for medtech investment cooled in 2022 as inflation and economic uncertainty left investors with less capital. 

Despite the market slowdown, 2022 investment numbers still outperformed pre-COVID-19 pandemic investment figures, as 2019 saw $59.7 billion raised.
