CMS approves 7 new health systems for hospital at home

CMS has approved seven new health systems for a waiver to provide acute hospital care at home.

Here are the health systems newly OK’d to be reimbursed for hospital-at-home care, with their dates of approval and hospitals approved:

1. UW Medicine (Seattle): Nov. 6

— University of Washington Medical Center

— Valley Medical Center (Renton, Wash.)

— Harborview Medical Center

2. Community Health Network (Indianapolis): Nov. 27

— Community Hospital South

— Community Hospital North

— Community Hospital East

— Community Hospital of Anderson and Madison County (Anderson, Ind.)

— Community Howard Regional Health (Kokomo, Ind.)

3. Lakeland (Fla.) Regional Health: Feb. 21

4. RWJBarnabas Health (West Orange, N.J.): March 3

— Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (New Brunswick, N.J.)

5. NewYork-Presbyterian (New York City): March 3

— NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital

6. Baptist Health (Jacksonville, Fla.): March 11

— Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville

— Baptist Medical Center Beaches (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.)

— Baptist Medical Center Nassau (Fernandina Beach, Fla.)

7. Valley Health System (Paramus, N.J.): March 17
