Children’s Nebraska selects Insight Surgery for virtual surgical planning

Children’s Nebraska has announced a partnership with Insight Surgery, a global leader in personalized medical devices and virtual surgical planning. Promising to enhance the precision, efficiency and outcomes of complex pediatric surgeries, this partnership aims to eliminate turnaround times from several weeks to just days.

The integration of Insight Surgery’s technology for personalized medical devices and surgery planning in collaboration with Children’s Nebraska nationally renowned 3D program, enables manufacturing on-sight of personalized medical devices.

By eliminating the delays associated with off-site manufacturing, the hospital aims to speed up production times and therefore create a more efficient surgery turnaround time and improved care for young patients facing critical conditions.

The first successful case under the partnership was a complex sarcoma surgery involving the tibial tubercle and patellar tendon. The procedure included an allograft and was completed in collaboration with a leading orthopedic oncology surgeon in the United States.
