Cedars-Sinai joins White House AI initiative

Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai has joined a White House-led AI consortium.

The consortium, composed of nearly 40 health systems and insurers, focuses on ensuring healthcare providers and companies are using artificial intelligence ethically and responsibly, according to an April 10 news release from Cedars-Sinai. 

In joining the group, Cedars-Sinai said it is committing to utilizing AI to enhance healthcare delivery and affordability, prioritizing health equity, and alleviating clinician burnout while adhering to principles for fairness, appropriateness, validity, effectiveness and safety. 

Additionally, as part of the group, Cedars-Sinai aims to emphasize the deployment of trust mechanisms to indicate AI-generated content.
