Time has named four healthcare and health tech leaders to its 2026 TIME100 AI list of the most influential people in AI.
Oracle co-founder, chair and Chief Technology Officer Larry Ellison made the Aug. 27 list for the company’s all-in AI push, which includes its Oracle Health EHR business, the successor to Cerner. Mr. Ellison has said he expects Oracle Health’s AI agents and voice-activated tools to help the company overtake Epic as the dominant EHR vendor.
OpenEvidence founder and CEO Daniel Nadler, PhD, secured a spot for building the company’s AI-powered clinical search engine, which physicians use for point-of-care medical literature lookups. OpenEvidence reached a $12 billion valuation in January and has said more than 860,000 licensed U.S. physicians use the platform.
Bayesian Health founder and CEO Suchi Saria, PhD, earned the recognition for the Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University spinout’s AI models, which predict sepsis and other forms of clinical deterioration in hospitalized patients. Bayesian’s AI sepsis monitoring tool received FDA clearance in May.
Kera Health Platforms founder and CEO Moustapha Cissé, PhD, landed in the top 100 for Sura, an AI-powered health insurance platform he launched in Senegal in 2024. Sura uses AI to analyze medical records and approve claims within 30 seconds, compared with a typical 120-day wait for providers to get paid. The startup, which raised $10 million from the International Finance Corp. last year, has since expanded into the Ivory Coast, and Dr. Cissé said he wants to bring the model to the U.S. because “the need is the same everywhere.”
