The venture capital arms of three health systems have joined a $28 million series E equity financing round for neurosurgery tech company Monteris Medical.

OSF Ventures, part of Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare, and the CU Healthcare Innovation Fund, which includes Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth and Children’s Hospital Colorado, are new investors in the startup.

“Our clinicians have firsthand experience using Monteris’ technology in practice, and we’re excited to support a company whose evidence-based solutions make a significant impact in the field of minimally invasive neurosurgery,” said Mayank Taneja, MD, vice president of OSF Ventures, in a March 12 news release. “Moreover, our vision of improving the lives of those we serve aligns with Monteris’ mission to deliver hope and healing to the patients, families and care teams who rely on innovations like this.”
