When patients are typically transported to a hospital by an EMS agency, patient information is shared verbally by the emergency department or sent via fax. The ImageTrend and Kno2 collaboration will enable EMS agencies to securely send, receive and query electronic patient information.
Under the partnership, ImageTrend — which develops software solutions for EMS, hospital and critical care providers — will integrate Kno2’s interoperability platform into its patient documentation hub. This electronic access to patient data will improve care and timely reimbursement, according to a news release.
