The European center joins a global network of IBM X-Force Command Centers, which process more than 1 trillion cyber-incidents each month for the company’s 4,500 clients. The infrastructure of IBM X-Force Command Centers builds on IBM’s $200 million investment in cyber-incident response services, which it launched last year.

The European IBM X-Force Command Center houses IT security professionals who use cognitive technologies — like Watson for Cyber Security — to address cybersecurity events. The new center will also use data localization services to help clients address and report incidents that fall under European data protection regulations.
