The platform includes various tools such as a Watson-powered chatbot and a new security assistance research project called Havyn. These tools are meant to streamline security analysts’ workflows.
A typical security team sifts through more than 200,000 security events each day, representing more than 20,000 hours chasing false positives each year, according to IBM. Watson shortens this process by quickly generating threat reports, which detect potential security incidents and suggest appropriate responses.
In anticipation of this rollout, Watson has been fed more than 1 million security documents.
