IBM launches blockchain service on IBM Cloud

IBM unveiled a new version of IBM Blockchain, which developers can use to host secure production networks.

IBM Blockchain is meant to help developers deploy and manage blockchain networks on IBM Cloud. The blockchain service is based on the Linux Foundation's open source Hyperledger Fabric version 1.0, which serves as a framework for building blockchain networks that can quickly conduct transactions and grow as new members join the network.

IBM also launched new commercially available blockchain governance tools to help organizations set up their blockchain networks. The governance tools allow organizations to manage membership, set levels of visibility and enforce network compliance.
